Because of the breadth of DoD
operations and the need to keep weapons systems fully
operational under the harshest conditions, DoD has some of
the most difficult environmental problems. At the same time
we need to lead the way in reducing environmental and health
impacts in our operations and on our personnel. This drives
us to seek out the best and most cost-effective technologies
for our weapons systems to maximize our strike capabilities
and readiness, but minimize our environmental footprint
around the world.
Currently this site is
concentrated on surface finishing issues, but additional
alternatives pages will be added as we are asked to supply
them.
